Annual tree hunting tradition

This time of year is full of many favorite traditions…
Our hunt for the perfect tree is something we share with The Yoder Family-very dear friends of ours. They have two sons; Gavin & Max and they are both such wonderful boys.

We all get on our rain boots, bundle up and spend the day together.
We always drive out to Sumner.
Snow Shoe is our favorite place to go. Along with many other families. it is always packed and with so many other tree farms surrounding it, it is the only one that has a police officer directing traffic in and out. The trees are so healthy and remain this way well into the new year.

Our other tradition is to go to a family owned Italian Restaurant: Aversanos.
It has been around for 27 years.
I’m such a big fan of non-chain restaurants and supporting local businesses.

The adults enjoy a naughty cocoa & the kids all gather in a booth coloring, drawing & visiting with one another.
The atmosphere, company and could not be more perfect.
What a way to kick off the magical season!
