After a week a many merry and magical moments. The actual day has arrived to rest, stay in our pajamas all day, and just feel the love in that calm and peacefulness inside.

First before everyone wakes I start preparing brunch. My parents will join us as it is our annual tradition.
I use to do several preparations prior, but I really prefer making things fresh.

I listen for the pidder-padder of footsteps…
And another Christmas morning begins and is in full swing…

Christmas brunch menu consists of traditional homemade culinary eats!

For starters we always do greek yogurt with my homemade granola with fresh raspberries

Homemade cinnamon bread for the creme filled French Toast
Wild blueberry homemade syrup with a hint of rosemary

Huevos Rancheros we have been making for Christmas brunch the last few years. This year we used fresh homemade flour tortillas and we all agreed these were so delicious and will do this going forward.
I always make homemade salsa. It is fresh, easy and adds a tasteful touch.

I did change up our spicy potatoes this year. Instead of canned cream of mushroom soup I decided to make homemade cream of mushroom soup.
It actually stepped up the flavor. Using fresh thyme pulls the flavors all together.

I wanted it special for my boys and tied a ornament to their napkin.
On the drinking glasses I did my homemade glitter cinnamon star ornaments. It added great texture with wonderful aroma of cinnamon.

For the adults I did touches of berries from my yard and fresh rosemary.
The scents from the rosemary along with the cinnamon at the table was such a lovely fragrance together.
The rosemary scent ran through the napkin and it was noticed.

This day was full of so many emotions. Most of all love, joy and time with my family. I always look forward to these moments the most during the holiday season.
