Carrots are naturally sweet. This recipes enhances that with a touch of a savory flare by using cayenne.
This adds a unique twist to your basic sautéed carrots.
Recipe
5-6 organic carrots peeled & sliced into spears
4T balsamic vinegar
3 T real maple syrup
1T cinnamon
1/2-1 t cayenne pepper
Method
In a sauté pan on medium high add balsamic, maple syrup & cinnamon- stirring
Once glistening and cinnamon has dissolved add sliced carrots
You will sauté for 3-5 minutes or until caramelizing
Remove from heat add cayenne -control the heat to your liking
Let sit for a few minutes
Serve with garnish of your choice
