Spring Break-Palm Springs outings

As we are home and back in full swing…I still had to share a few vacation/spring break outings.

My mom has a very close friend that lives in Palms Springs half the year. The other half she lives on Vashon Island. They have been friends since grade school.
Her two other friends since grade school are both named Linda. I call them “the Linda’s”
When my mom mentions Joan or the Linda’s I’m always in awe with the friendships, bonds and lifelong memories they have together.

Well, back to my story; my mom shared Joan took her granddaughter to the “Living Desert Zoo” and said it was wonderful.
I’m so happy she passed this on to us as we loved a day and a half straight at the pool. We were all itching for adventure.

Before the zoo I had to visit the iconic sculpture of Marilyn Monroe
I had to see it in person. Also this was a great morning to stroll through the darling downtown.

The goats and sheep were everywhere and enjoying the attention.

This one kept licking my toes.
Maybe it was the bright yellow toes.

These bulls were so incredible with these horns. We did learn they are hollow and is their cooking system . They have blood vessels running throughout them.
They seemed to weigh them down to us. We were please to learn about this.

This zoo had us really amazed!
It takes about three hours. A lot smaller than San Diego. A few overlaps with the animals. I would highly recommend it if you will be going there with your children. Our total cost for four was one adult ticket to San Diego Zoo.

Above are a few photos of Rancho Las Palmas. this hotel was just perfect. it even has an adult pool if you want to escape the water slides and the lazy river.

And that’s a wrap!
Spring break was such a wonderful time for all of us.
We structured it to be all about what are boys wanted to do.
My youngest son Bren shared it was the best vacation ever!
They both are still on cloud nine and full of endless joy.
My husband and I were both overjoyed. We are so thankful for these amazing memories we will always have.
