It was such a beautiful Northwest day.
For Fathers Day we kept it low-key.

My husband is just recovering from bronchitis and did not want to plan a gathering.
Just see what the day brings…
His only request was a grass-fed steak from our butcher for for dinner.
He has really learned to appreciate the difference and quality of the meat.
-It is HUGE! From taste to the tenderness and barely any fat.
It is a special treat and being Fathers Day it was a perfect time to grill one up for him.

A very healthy start to the day. I love creating breakfast sandwiches!
And we are off….

My loves, my life, my everythings!

Sometimes these end up being the most wonderful days…In this moment and taking it all in.

A little afternoon time in the garden before dinner…

This new creation is a big thank you to my very dear friend.
My very good friend Jim. Some of you know him as my Italian friend with the triplet boys.
I just adore him, his family values and his love for cooking.
We met through work, but we will be life long friends. We have the same outlook and have bonded for the love of creating good, non-processed food for our families.
Secondly we share “family first” and everything follows…
He truly has been such an amazing ray of light in my life. Only downfall is I wish him and his family lived here.

And for his Fathers Dinner… His favorite grilled corn with fresh herbs, petit’ steak and one of our favorites: Crumbled walnuts & herbs
