Our cauliflower was nothing like our broccoli. I started wondering if it was ever going to blossom.
I did a bit of research and sometimes wrapping them with twine helps.
Within a week:
Over abundance! This was only half of what we grew…
I decided to use a recipe of a chef I admire immensely. It was for another cold weather veggie so the overall I knew would be full of delight.
Artichokes!
We have two different kinds…One has towered over the gutters on our house and bringing the most beautiful globes.
Berries! such a wonderful snack while working in the garden
The authentic PNW sky never gets old. I appreciate daily and thankful for the raw beauty it adds to our days.
Happiness is when all of the sudden overnight these beautiful peppers decided to show up and join the party
As we love eggplant and have a long list of recipes (always) we have a bloom and….
We have a start… fingers crossed! They are not the easiest to grow in the northwest
Joy is seeing these that I grew by seed in the window popping out of the ground
Kindness is not only getting such a wonderful gift, but knowing that it is something that was much needed. I’m finding you never have enough gloves and veggie & herb scissors
Sugarsnap peas are another great snack. They have spiraled to the top.
Endless beauty in nature… surrounding us, grasping it and loving every moment.
Summer squash is winding her way throughout the raised bed
Fennel- I cant wait to enjoy you… I believe we have another week or so! Recipe awaits
Corn is soaking up the sun and I have a feeling you will grow taller than our trellis we built you…
Tomatoes, Tomatoes, Tomatoes… we spent hours together yesterday….
After counting 100 I stopped-I have big plans for you!
Pumpkin patch and several have started to show…The bees sunbathe on your beautiful large leaves. They enjoy the blossoms and also the flowers on the berries
Zucchini and I have counted 20 more right behind you….
Potatoes! I have decided if you can grow one thing only-this may be it.
Nothing like a fresh potato-bright white and so flavorful
These may be the biggest surprise. My moms friend gave her a few beans. They did great in germination. We transplanted outside and it was questionable on how good they were going to grow…. To top it off the vine is stunning. The hummingbirds are loving it too…Red beautiful flowers!
Celery has been so delicious! It is loving the garden and keeps producing
Enjoying the local produce-Free of the pesticides and nothing outweighs the freshness.
The wild bunnies-We have three that visit. This one has no fear…They have been eating in my front herb garden and the grass only…
My passion and love for creating culinary has me in a complete state of awe… so many things have come from creating our produce garden. My children are learning an overwhelming amount of knowledge. They have been asking endless questions. Also my son Jaden offered to help me plant our second batch of potatoes.
I have always had herb gardens, dabbled in veggies & berries. This is a whole new experience… We went in 110%. With what we have produced we have been sharing weekly with family, friends and neighbors.
I love to give and share. There is no greater joy in the world- the feeling you get is something that cannot be put into words-only felt.
