Our boys loved celebrating the Fourth of July the year before at home. Low key, our own fireworks and watching all the others go off from across the water.
They had requested we do the same.
Bren wanted to invite his best friend Zach. We decided to invite his family as they are great friends of ours. Also I grew up with his dad Darin.
We extended the invite to our friends Lance & Michelle and also Deb the baker & her husband Shawn.
It was a perfect mix of friends and such a wonderful evening.
Back by popular demand….my boys only request:

Honestly, I will never eat a processed one again. Homemade is so worth the time and every bite is complete with the best textures, combination of flavors and the absolute perfect treat! also knowing they are chemical free is always worth your time in my eyes.
Citrus Vinaigrette Quinoa with cucumber, feta & tomatoes with silvered almonds-created by my friend Bonnie
Homemade Vintage Cheddar biscuits with herb de Provence butter
Grilled corn on the cob topped with jalapeño cilantro Crème fraîche sauce-this was a group effort creating. Bonnie did the adding ingredients and mixing. We all loved being the taste testers.
Grilled flank steak with roasted jalapeño chimichurri sauce
As I already shared about the homemade s’mores
We also had cheesecake brownies & vanilla crème filled fresh strawberries topped
with homemade graham cracker crumbs
It’s time for fireworks….
