The summer has been nothing less than perfect in the northwest.
Starting our produce garden this year was definitely the right thing to do.
With the over abundance of produce I had to learn quickly the importance of “saving the season”

Salsa is next!
I would love a peach tree some day… I was obsessing on my local canning. I happened to be at our local outdoor market and purchased a few peaches. I love being able to can these. Of course I have them spiced to the nines with fresh nutmeg, splash of vanilla, turbinado sugar & spiced rum.
I just harvested about 20lbs of green beans. Recently my mom shared a recipe for canning these with a twist- Spicy! Dried chilies ginger & garlic. Perfect, I have everything.
