I’m so grateful everyday for our garden eats!
I absolutely love it sets the menu for our evening dinners.
Peppers have a arrived and have not been shy…
I can’t capture behind the lens the abundance of daily tomatoes that we are producing.
They are a lot of work…. But have been so worth it.
Brussels sprouts are one of my favorite to roast…
Unfortunately with the space, cabbage worms and being such slow growers has a question mark for growing anymore.
I did plant them during the wrong season…learning about year round produce.
They are not out yet….
Even our wild visitors have warmed up to me while working in the garden.
Our hummingbirds are all fearless. They are very protective of their feeder.
The boys are very intrigued with their characteristics. Jaden especially will be out with me for hours watching them, learning and taking it all in.
They capture my attention to no end. I love the sounds they add to the garden. It is so peaceful and calming.
Daily ripe tomatoes and ever-changing
Dangling about…my favorite fall flavor-butternut squash!
Eggplants took some time, but all of the sudden they were ready & ripe.
Fall brings plenty of spiders. The boys love the perfection of webs they are creating. They are so good for the garden as well.
Beauty surrounds us!
Second crop of broccoli is almost ready to harvest. It has been thriving and just started germinating a new crop.
One foggy Saturday morning all we could hear is the horn of this ship. The boys and I were outside at the perfect time to capture a small glimpse. This photo has so much depth.
In the beginning we had dozens of pumpkins and our patch was looking very healthy. Out of nowhere they started rotting. We have maybe a dozen with several that are I a fragile state.
Big orange and a few white ones I believe will make it.
I have researched for next year and hope to not lose so many.
We would love to have a carving party and start off with everyone picking from our pumpkin patch.
Hopefully next year is it!
I’m surrounded by beauty and kindness. Our neighbors have a produce garden too. She knew I was struggling a bit with my onions. They moved here a few years ago from Korea. She was so kind to share her seeds with me.
“Grandma” she is truly a kind soul. Very few English words, but we understand each other so well.
Germinating seeds planted Saturday. Already sprouting.
Fall crop…first year and excited to see what it brings
