Over this past summer we have enjoyed getting to know our new neighbors.
We have exchanged veggies and also other garden needs.

One day her granddaughter was walking by and I asked if her grandmother would be willing to share her kimchi recipe.
She replied, well yes I believe she would.
Within the hour they both were at the front door with supplies and large bowls.
I had an abundance of cabbage from the garden and she brought everything else.
I told her granddaughter I really would be good with the recipe. She shared she insisted on showing me as she does not have an exact recipe.
I can appreciate this in so many ways.
I create without a recipe or if I do have one it is just a guideline.

I was feeling overwhelmed with joy…
It was so wonderful to learn the authentic way to create kimchi.

This is experience was truly so special to me. I will never forget the kindness from such an amazing soul.
Through it all… It brings me to many memories I have created through traveling many different countries.
Making very deep bonds with people and not even speaking the same language.
Opening my mind and connecting on a entire different level will have me forever grateful.
It brings you to a new feeling in your heart, mind and soul.
