I was traveling for work a few months ago. I had the most incredible turkey jerk chili with one of my great friends and co-worker Jim. We both loved it and being major foodies we knew we could re-create this incredible dish.

I also made our new favorite honey oat bread to go along with it and a avocado crème Fraîche

I love always doing a themed tablescape.
This one was extra special as everything besides candles & topiaries everything is from my garden.

These are the moments that make my heart dance with joy!
One of my absolute favorite things is exploring and long walks with my boys.
The beauty we are surrounded with is something that I’m so grateful for and admiring it with my sons is so extra special.

I will never take these moments for granted. The fall sunsets are some of my favorites! Clarity and dramatic….full of the unexpected and I’m always drawn to that.

Falling leaves has my dog Co-co hopping through the thick layers.
It had us all full of laughter…

Thankful for Poppi for helping me out on building a cold frame for my winter garden.
I’m still so surprised my Pineapple sage bloomed so late-mid October.
I have so many happy hummingbirds enjoying it!

Celery is still flourishing!

The broccoli is even better than it was over the warm summer.
It does much better in the northwest in the cool weather.

We were getting zucchini until November
The small ones have so much more flavor

Potatoes are still producing and they are so delicious. Only a few purples, however the red and yukon gold are not in short supply.

I made such a yummy healthy comfort roasted potato rosemary soup.
I researched several different recipes and ended up creating my own.

I have made many different butternut squash soup recipes. This recipe will be posted very soon.
A chef that I admire in so many ways shared this with me.
She has been making for 20 years and been in her family forever.
Optional topped with grass fed sausage-I made it spicy
