One of my girlfriends was admiring all the homemade bread I make. She asked me “next time you are making bread can I come over and watch?”
I felt excitement in knowing she wanted to learn and create healthier bread for herself and her family.
Of course I looped the other girls in and ask if they would like to join us.
What a great response!
“The Bakers”
I love to have party favors at our gatherings. I also wanted the ladies to be able to take the recipes home with them.
I printed the original recipes and had them take notes on the changes I have made.
Recipes on the evenings Menu:
Honey Oat Bread-This recipe is from a fellow baker; Chris Castro
This is my go to sandwich bread
Crusty, Rustic-No Knead Italian Bread Via Kitchen Trials/New York Times
Healthier Homemade Tortillas
We did begin the evening enjoying a bowl of
Organic Turkey Chili with a Kick

I prepped the Rustic Italian Bread so the could see the importance of baking it-It is a no, knead and the most important is the proofing & baking.
It went perfectly with the chili.
Emily is one of the sweetest girls I know. She was also the best assistant one could ask for!
She drew me this picture that is now hanging in my office to see daily.
Also, brought me this beautiful orchid
Her and her momma-which because of her the evening was brought together.
Tortillas in the making over wine and great conversation.
“My beauty bakers”
Deanna needed a little break; wine & dessert time
I made these Blueberry Crumbles
The blueberries were from my summer garden and I canned several jars-very thankful I did as the are so delicious.
Emily was helping anywhere needed-rolling out the tortillas while momma and Deb were cooking them
My sweet girl brought the most delicious blood orange sparkling drink. She is always so thoughtful and knows my obsession with anything blood orange.
I was so excited as Deanna brought me this amazing herb gadget.
She knows I have a large herb garden. I use fresh herbs every time I cook. (Daily)
I have been using it everyday since-Love it!
Deb the baker is always so kind-Brought the most beautiful tulips. My favorite; white flowers!
This is where the original recipes were found:

Healthier Homemade Tortillas:
I did edit the original post of the healthier tortillas. We found it is better to add the oil to the cup of water and mix in that way
