Leaving Prague was bittersweet… Onto a few days in Munich.
I absolutely love taking the train whenever possible. You get to take in the landscape, small towns, and villages. All shades of the rainbow and more.
When I reminisce of past travels nature weighs heavy on my mind.
Where it all began for Munich in 1158 and it is still The main square of the city.
Marienplatz is the heart of the city of Munich. In the Middle Ages, the square used to be a market place as well as the site where tournaments and festivities took place.
Dirndl is a type of traditional dress worn in Germany and other surrounding countries.
These can be very pricey with all the detail, handmade and time that goes into them. I was intrigued and had to pop in the department store and browse through and also the lederhosen’s .
One of the things on my husbands bucket-list; The famous Hofbräuhaus
It is one of the most well-known city institutions and is at the same time the most famous brewery in the world.
Several steins in and it being open seating we had the loveliest two expats join us all afternoon to evening.
Instantly connected our passion for travel. They work for a tour travel company. Tierney & Ricki are based in Florence Italy and travel all over Europe and beyond.
It was so wonderful to get input on places on our bucket-list, share travel stories and drink some of the best beer in the world.
Absolutely adore Tierney! She has the most amazing spirit about her, instantly felt like we had known each other forever and Wanderlust is no doubt in her soul.
Ricky Joe Lane is from the south. He is fantastic guy and is “southern charm” He is fully living every bit of life and embracing Euro life very well.
Teaching my husband how to hold your stein properly during Octoberfest so you can last all day
This was our selfie/ussie on the way out.
Walking back to our hotel we had a sensational street musicians. We stopped for a bit to enjoy and wish I captured my husband and expats dancing…
Thank you Munich for the best beer, bustling streets, and unexpected new friendships!
