It has been a bustling beginning to the new year to say the least.
New Years Eve celebrations for us is: family, games, movies and “At The Table” with a home-cooked meal.
We have been doing a traditional toast over the last few years thanks to Martha Stewart. The boys get a kick out of it with sparkling apple juice and quick eating of grapes.
This year it was just the boys and I. As the cold/flu was making its way through our house and so we wanted to keep it very low key. As everyone was mostly on the mends we thought it best not to overdo it.
It was just wonderful. The boys had a all day play date with there very good friend from Bellevue.
I made homemade soup, prepared pizza dough & homemade marinara.

The day was brisk, but full of sunshine
Our New Years toast thanks to Martha Stewart sharing a few years ago:
In Spain, revelers mark the New Year by quickly eating a dozen grapes at midnight. The fruits are said to be the predictor of the year ahead. Each sweet grape represents a good month, each sour grape a less-than-lucky one.
Of course the boys enjoy there sparkling apple cider while we enjoy with prosecco.
Well and my son Jaden toasted with his favorite “milk”
A few inspiring quotes I think are perfect to start the new year:
What a delightful Happy New Year from one of my wonderful friends that I adore to pieces.
Also her beautiful children, fabulous husband and darling pups.
